KOTA BARU: The body of a man with slash wounds was found behind a house in Kampung Baru, Bukit Tuku, Pasir Mas, on Monday, and is believed to have been attacked with a sharp object in a different place.
Pasir Mas District Police Chief ACP Abdullah Muhammad Piah said the victim, aged 28, was attacked with a sharp object in front of a car-wash outlet in Kampung Batu Karang about 3km from where his body was found.
When contacted, Abdullah said the victim was later taken into a Honda Civic by his attackers before the vehicle was involved in an accident in Kampung Baru, Bukit Tuku.
He said initial police investigations found that the victim managed to get out of the car and walked away until he collapsed and died from severe bleeding behind a house.
“The accident resulted in the driver, aged 22, suffering injuries and died while getting treatment at the Tanah Merah Hospital,” he said.
He added that two more suspects who were in the vehicle fled the scene and police are still hunting them down. — Bernama
